Sorority Recruitment Outfits

Hello! Long time, no see! I am currently trying to get back into blogging and possibly YouTube so please bare with me.

As I finished my Freshman Year of college, I am preparing for my Sophomore Year. I have decided that I would Rush during my first few weeks back at school. I have watched SO many, not an exaggeration, ‘sorority outfits and what to expect videos’ to get an idea of the process. I am currently rematching the TV show “Greek” and reading blogs which makes me more excited about the whole thing!

I will be providing an idea of what I might possibly wear during the rounds and hope you get some inspiration from them as well!.

Round 1and 2: This round is when you are in your groups and visit each sorority house. Usually it takes 2 days for each round, depending on how many houses there are. This day requires you to wear the shirt that you were given with cute shorts or skirt and comfortable walking shoes.

I found these shorts from Francesca’s so make sure to find a pair that will match your t shirts. I am in to flowy shorts because it is going to be extremely hot and I hate the feeling of sweaty jean shorts. You will need to find shorts that are appropriate and great to make a first impression so no rips and no short shorts.
I picked shorts over skirts because me and skirts/dresses do not have the best relationship because they always tend to fly up :).

Round 3: For my school, this is the Philanthropy round. It is different for every school so make sure to learn what the schedule is. This round is where you dress up a bit, wear a cute little sundress and some heels (preferably wedges) that you can possibly walk in. You will be able to learn about each of their philanthropy and their activities.

All these dresses are from Lulus. I have been obsessed with the cold shoulder look so the first 2 I absolutely love. Some are casual sundresses, some are more fancier, I think it depends on how you are feeling that day.

Round 4: Preference is the time where you need to be the most dressiest. It is the final round during recruitment where you will visit the final 2 houses. This is a really important round so you want to be your best and look your best. You will need to find a cocktail style dress and a nice pair heels.

All these dresses are also from Lulus. Yes, I absolutely love the trend of off the shoulder. These are some of my picks and I might end up getting the purple one. I have been told that the active sisters wear black so try to stay away from that the best you can.

Round 5: Bid Day is the last day of Rush where after everything, you will find out what sorority gave you a bid. This is the most exciting day and most comfortable outfit by wearing a tank top, gym shorts and running shoes because you might have to run far to your new house!

I hope you are excited for Rush as much as I am and I hope I helped with inspiration on what to wear. I will try to create a blogpost on what I end up wearing.

Don’t be nervous, have fun, and be yourself!

Until next time!

Batter Up! | Fanatics*

Ever since I was a young girl, I have had a fascination with baseball. I played in my front yard with my brothers and dad all the time, there was even a time that I wanted to be the first female pitcher in the MLB. The season currently ended which is upsetting as the Red Sox or Orioles did not make to the World Series. Even though baseball is over, you can support your favorite team by heading over to Fanatics.Untitled #190

I picked my favorite team, Red Sox, to be the major inspiration for my outfit. I tried to match the color scheme, maybe a little too much. For the top, I picked a simple blue baseball tee for the whole outfit not to be too crazy. Jean shorts are a perfect type of bottom for a hot day at the ballpark. I choose a flannel to help bring out the red B in the hat. I would like to wear the red flannel wrapped around my waist as it will give a laidback look. The silver bracelet gives the outfit a bit of a girly flair but not too much to make it seem like they belong at a party than a baseball game. The converse give it the ultimate ballpark feel and makes me excited for next season!
Make sure you check out Fanatic’s large selection of baseball hats and go support your favorite teams with MLB_hats!

Hey everyone! Last Sunday, I finally uploaded a new haul based of the many items I purchased throughout the month of June and July! I love making videos and trying to consistently upload them every Sunday (which you should totally check out my channel here)! In my latest video I shared what I got from Forever 21, Ulta, Nordstrom, H&M and Urban Outfitters! Please like, subscribe and comment if you want!

True Blue | OOTD

Hey everyone! So school is officially out for the summer and since I thought that since I do not have to study anymore, why not put up a post tonight? There would be another later talking about my experience throughout the past school year so before that I want to show you guys what I wore for Memorial Day. Memorial Day was over a week ago and I got really into the spirit with the blues. I loved my outfit because I am starting to become more comfortable with my skin that I am showing a bit with the mesh like lace detailing. Blue is pretty much most of the colors that I have in closet that is not very “I can’t wear that to the pool!” way. I am not a red person, I never knew why also my skin has reds in it which doesn’t really flatter me in anyway. I will say that I did put too much blue on this outfit, not the best idea but I loved it and it was very Patriotic. I miss how in my old town, everyone would come to the middle of town for the parade, which I happened to be in twice, and I loved how much everyone got really into the whole thing. I suggest putting your hair in a braid on very hot day, which I did right after. And everyone, this is my puppy Camden before her major haircut.

Coachella Bound| OOTD

Yes I should be studying but of course I do not want to.  So I decided to dress up for this pretty almost summer days before spending the rest of the day pretty much inside. Although Coachella has been over for a while now and sadly I wish I could go, I recently styled an outfit that I probably would wear to the music festival as it is very boho chic.

Georgetown Loving

During Easter last week, my family and I decided to pack everyone into the car (mom, dad and my two brothers) and head down for the up to an hour drive to Georgetown, Washington D.C. I was super excited because MAYBE I could get to meet my favorite band as they were performing not so far from D.C., but sadly they were still in the city they performed the night before :(. Other than that, I actually had a beautiful walk around Georgetown including buying a cropped sweater at H&M!

I love the record players because like they are so adorable and everyone should have at least one record in their house if they feel like being artsy.

I absolutely love the elegance of the town, the white bricks and (though I have not toured the University yet) Georgetown University looked like a real life Hogwarts. I would love to live here because it is so pleasant, I am saying this out of experience but it is amazing there that I cannot wait to go back again!

The Wire

You know there’s no rhyme or reason for the way you turned out to be
I didn’t go and try to change my mind. not intentionally
I know it’s hard to hear me say it but I can’t bear to stay and
I just know I know I know I know that you’re gonna be OK anyway

Yesterday I had gone to the mall which is one of the few places I got to which does not involve me being my school uniform. So I decided after months of keeping it hidden in my closet, I try to wear my little wire headband. I have tried to figure out how to wear these style headbands because well I am not a headband person. My hair is very weird on how when I wear a headband my bangs stick up on all ends. Ugh! So I decided, other than growing out my bangs, that I at least try it with topknot! Topknots have been my got to hairdo when I was feeling unaware what to do with my hair. I am not happy on how these photos turned out because this is the last place I would take photos if the sun wasn’t so bright and made the picture look white.
