Celebrating Another Decade!

On September 7th, 1997, this young girl was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. She went on to live in three different states, have many career ideas in her mind, lost interest in all things she loved but that did not stop her from going forward in life. Today, that girl is still trying to figure out what she wants at the prime age of 20. Gosh, I am old!

I recently started my sophomore year at the University of South Carolina. So, I wanted to give you a little update on what has been happening in my life so far. I went through sorority recruitment with lots of tears and twisted ankles. I joined the house where I feel the most conformable in so I would like to say I am officially an Alpha Gamma Delta.

For those who do not know sorority recruitment, it is pretty much a process where you are trying to show girls that you are meant to be apart of their sisterhood. Sadly, I had to deal with a lot of judgements during the process but by the end of it, I was able to call one of my favorite houses my home.

For my birthday I was able to celebrate in style with my new sisters at my first function, Fall Band. Although I did not stay there very long, I was able to wear my outfit that I have been hoarding for months. I absolutely love this romper from Urban Outfitters as it shows some skin but not too much to make it revealing.

This coming week, I will be initiated so I will be an Alpha Gam for life, which is kind of scary to me. I am excited and nervous for what is left to come. I absolutely love my big and I am slowly and surely making friends but it is still early in the semester.

Other than my life being about Greek Life, I am taking classes in my major, looking for internships and possibly double minoring. I am still trying to discover who I am, which I still hard. But I am only 20.

I will attempt to make a return on blogging, probably not too soon, but I do miss being able to take pictures of my outfits and writing. I am debating whether I should continue with this blog or not, and I doubt that people are reading anymore. I just hope to go back to what I used to love and I am excited about the future.

Bonjour Paris – Day 1

Paris is one of the cities that many people hope to visit one day, and I had the pleasure to be able to explore the city that I have been obsessed with since the day I was born. Paris is my middle name and also to honor the later Princess Diana. Growing up reading Eloise and Madeline, Paris has always been on the top of my list. On the first day of our adventure in Paris, we took the Eurostar from London into the city and we had a chance to explore the rainy streets of Sacre-Coeur, one of the most famous cathedral in Paris, other than Notre Dame.

I have always dreamed about walking in the streets of Paris, with a baguette in hand, a scarf wrapped around my neck and wearing a cute striped dress but in that time I had an umbrella, soaked shoes and a chocolate crepe from a restaurant. Despite the rain, I loved the beauty that calls itself the City of Lights. The narrow lanes with cute unique shops, even a Starbucks a friend of mine wanted to stop in, and to my surprise that many Parisians speak English. Out of everyone on my tour group, I knew the most French but thinking of becoming fluent in the language.

This area is known as Montmatre, the neighborhood of Paris that is famous for their artists. I hope to go back one day, when it is not raining and see the up-in-coming painters work on their masterpieces.

Dorm Room Essentials from Bed, Bath and Beyond*

I have been waiting for this this time of year to finally buy materials for my dorm room. There was never an idea what I had wanted to do to my room for theme wise, it is rather about what I like and incorporate with everything else. I am the type of person who loves color, more like too much color, so I decided to buy items that will not make my side of the room like a rainbow and won’t clash with my roommate and her colors.

I love the colors blue and gray and that they were the perfect soft touch to my room. Being extremely into fashion, I had to buy a set of hangers for all of my clothes. I think these hangers are useful because they are quite slim that no matter how many pieces of clothing I have, I would still have some room left in the closet. They have rubber ends so it helps keeping the clothes from falling off.

The gray box is a cute little bin for under bed storage, which includes striped fabric inside. I wanted something that could be neutral in the room and I was never the biggest fan of the big, see through, plastic containers. I liked the ones from Bed. Bath and Beyond because they came in a few different sizes and colors such as mint, black and gray.

I bought a small make up holder because, other than the pretty blue color, I do not have the largest collection of makeup. If you are looking for something that holds all of your makeup, think of the size of your collection. There are a few different sizes available, not matter how big the collection may be. A trick that I use is that I like to keep all of my makeup brushes in a pencil holder, it is organized and makes the room pretty based on the design of it.

This cute little garbage can was pretty unique and small enough to hide underneath my desk. I wasn’t too interested in those metal trashcans so I decided to find something different. The trashcan comes in a few different colors, including splash paint, which I had wanted to get. To keep the colors neutral, I opted for this one.

Being a college student, laundry is one of the big experiences that I will have to go through. I decided to buy a laundry bag that is completely durable and cute at the same time. Who says laundry has to be mundane? So to make it fun, I had to buy something that I love, especially one with gold polka dots.

Bed, Bath and Beyond has helped me find my college essentials without making it so difficult. I love shopping here for college materials because they have basic and unique finds at decent prices. I also love their decor and bedding that is reasonable for college student budgets. Bed, Bath and Beyond has helped me find everything on my list for my dorm.

Croquet | OOTD

Every year in Annapolis, there is a croquet match between St. John’s College and the Naval Academy, the two main schools in downtown. It is such an event, everyone tends to flock to the St. John’s campus dressed up in their preppiest outfit for the biggest even in the season.

I went last year and it was an interesting experience so me and a few friends of mine went again this year, so you will get a glimpse of what it is like in an upcoming vlog!

Kimono Casual | OOTD

Last Sunday, I decided to dress down for Sunday Casual for work. I really liked this outfit because I did not have to dress up. Adding a Kimono with a casual tee and jeans adds a fun look.

Fancy Muscles Tees | OOTD

Processed with VSCOcam with m5 preset

Muscle Tees are major summer trend due to the hot weather of course. For my fashion sense, I either look like I did nothing at all or a little too much so I decided to not always wear shorts with my tee. I loved the tee as it has a cute list of some of my favorite things and of course it is a pretty color. I have been eyeing this skirt for a while as the purple colors and the pink that matches my top. It is kinda short on me as it is too small around my hips but pulling it up to my waist works. Nothing is ever too small or too big.

If you want to dress up your muscle tee, pair it with a skirt or over a dress. Boyfriend jeans can help as well to make it a cool casual look.

First Day of Work | OOTD

Processed with VSCOcam with m5 presetThe other day I had started my first day of work and let me say, I was completely out of my comfort zone. Personally, sometimes I do not know what I am supposed to do but good thing I am getting help from others as work continues. Surprisingly I did returns, rung up others and many things I did not know before I started. I hope I learn and become a better sales person to eventually hopefully own my own store.

2015-07-13 22.33.27This is just the start of something new (High School Musical feels).

I personally feel like Zendaya in this outfit (also I had wanted to added a bun but my hair was not being nice). My top was tight and an easy essential to add a simple piece to an outfit. A black top will pretty much go with anything to make you feel like Audrey Hepburn. I absolutely love this skirt I took from my mom’s closet as it had a slit, making me feel like Angelina Jolie, I tried her pose but was rather unsuccessful. It can make a simple outfit more chic.
