Trend Alert: Showing the Sexy One Shoulder

Despite the cold weather coming our way, this new trend involves showing off a little bit of skin. A major trend for the fall 2017 season is the one shoulder where a top will show a classy amount of shoulder. I personally think this look could be sophisticated yet casual at the same time. Here are a few outfits that you can style after if you dare to rock that shoulder.

This is one of my favorite outfits for just a day out or when you don’t want to wear Nike shorts to class anymore. I love this simple white top and cut off as it gives a laid back look. I added Adidas shoes for comfort and to give it some edge.

Of course, I cannot do a trend without having a sexy outfit! I love this bodycon one sleeve top with a choker built in. With it being a high neck top I would style it with a ponytail. My favorite fall color is burgundy so I wanted to incorporate it a little bit as well as a few gold accents. My styling tip is to try to match your shoes with your bag so the outfit is not all over the place!

When I first saw this top I was absolutely in love! Since the top had a lot going on I wanted to style it with plain bottoms, so I added some culottes and some nude heels. Since there was not a lot of color to the outfit, I added the colorful clutch to give it more of a fun twist to it. This outfit is great if you’re going to a function, it’s sophisticated yet fun!

I wanted to create another casual outfit so I found this gingham print dress which is so adorable! I am a minimalistic dresser so I just added a sweet necklace and some white, lace up espadrilles. This is an outfit you can wear to a picnic or just to walk around a city (especially in Europe). Since the straw bag was rather popular in the summer I thought it would make the look more laid back.

I absolutely love this dress! If you have stayed with me these past few years I have been a huge fan of lace! The cut cutouts in the middle make the dress a little bit sexy and make me which I had the body and the place to wear this to! I love a good smokey eye and tousled hair to give it a relaxed look to it.
Remember that trends may come and go but always stay true to your original style. I hope you have fun with this trend and I hope to see you in my next post! I am so glad to be back!

Dorm Room Essentials from Bed, Bath and Beyond*

I have been waiting for this this time of year to finally buy materials for my dorm room. There was never an idea what I had wanted to do to my room for theme wise, it is rather about what I like and incorporate with everything else. I am the type of person who loves color, more like too much color, so I decided to buy items that will not make my side of the room like a rainbow and won’t clash with my roommate and her colors.

I love the colors blue and gray and that they were the perfect soft touch to my room. Being extremely into fashion, I had to buy a set of hangers for all of my clothes. I think these hangers are useful because they are quite slim that no matter how many pieces of clothing I have, I would still have some room left in the closet. They have rubber ends so it helps keeping the clothes from falling off.

The gray box is a cute little bin for under bed storage, which includes striped fabric inside. I wanted something that could be neutral in the room and I was never the biggest fan of the big, see through, plastic containers. I liked the ones from Bed. Bath and Beyond because they came in a few different sizes and colors such as mint, black and gray.

I bought a small make up holder because, other than the pretty blue color, I do not have the largest collection of makeup. If you are looking for something that holds all of your makeup, think of the size of your collection. There are a few different sizes available, not matter how big the collection may be. A trick that I use is that I like to keep all of my makeup brushes in a pencil holder, it is organized and makes the room pretty based on the design of it.

This cute little garbage can was pretty unique and small enough to hide underneath my desk. I wasn’t too interested in those metal trashcans so I decided to find something different. The trashcan comes in a few different colors, including splash paint, which I had wanted to get. To keep the colors neutral, I opted for this one.

Being a college student, laundry is one of the big experiences that I will have to go through. I decided to buy a laundry bag that is completely durable and cute at the same time. Who says laundry has to be mundane? So to make it fun, I had to buy something that I love, especially one with gold polka dots.

Bed, Bath and Beyond has helped me find my college essentials without making it so difficult. I love shopping here for college materials because they have basic and unique finds at decent prices. I also love their decor and bedding that is reasonable for college student budgets. Bed, Bath and Beyond has helped me find everything on my list for my dorm.

Winter Nights | OOTD

Hey everyone! How has life been treating you? I recently finished midterms and am so pleased on the grades I got in French and APUSH (it was a 77 but still good enough). I really want to get back into blogposts and keeping up on outfits so here is one from last Christmas.

My family and I went to Downtown Annapolis to see some of the lights they had to offer and why not do it on Christmas when everyone is inside and celebrating? It was cold but it was nice to be able to walk on the streets without cars running us over. I will hopefully include a vlog about my Christmas.

New Years Dancing | OOTD

Happy almost 2015! I recently made a video (which you can find below) with hair, and outfit ideas for New Years Eve. This is my absolute favorite out of the two outfits and I was so pleased with my hair that even while I was filming I was ‘Oh my gosh! I did that!’.

Here comes my awkward faces!

I did not notice that I had the headband like that!

I bought this dress Sophomore year hoping to wearing it to homecoming, but ended up not to. I have had this in my closet for a year and I have been wanting to wear it to. I love how the black dress has a simple flirty skirt and at the top it is sheer with black polka dots giving it a rather feminine and fun touch to the dress. The headband is gold with pearl and it gave the outfit a nice touch of color. I wear black so much that I never add a dash of color. I am also wearing my nude heels so it doesn’t distract so much from the outfit.

Hey everyone! Happy late Thanksgiving and Happy Black Friday! As much as I would like to go shopping for those awesome deals, I am stuck at home with my puppy. I have had these pictures ready to be shown to the world! I absolutely love this dress for the past year I have had this. I saw my mother wear this sweater with a plaid skirt and I thought it would be cute to pair with the dress!
