Bonjour Paris – Day 1

Paris is one of the cities that many people hope to visit one day, and I had the pleasure to be able to explore the city that I have been obsessed with since the day I was born. Paris is my middle name and also to honor the later Princess Diana. Growing up reading Eloise and Madeline, Paris has always been on the top of my list. On the first day of our adventure in Paris, we took the Eurostar from London into the city and we had a chance to explore the rainy streets of Sacre-Coeur, one of the most famous cathedral in Paris, other than Notre Dame.

I have always dreamed about walking in the streets of Paris, with a baguette in hand, a scarf wrapped around my neck and wearing a cute striped dress but in that time I had an umbrella, soaked shoes and a chocolate crepe from a restaurant. Despite the rain, I loved the beauty that calls itself the City of Lights. The narrow lanes with cute unique shops, even a Starbucks a friend of mine wanted to stop in, and to my surprise that many Parisians speak English. Out of everyone on my tour group, I knew the most French but thinking of becoming fluent in the language.

This area is known as Montmatre, the neighborhood of Paris that is famous for their artists. I hope to go back one day, when it is not raining and see the up-in-coming painters work on their masterpieces.

Georgetown Loving

During Easter last week, my family and I decided to pack everyone into the car (mom, dad and my two brothers) and head down for the up to an hour drive to Georgetown, Washington D.C. I was super excited because MAYBE I could get to meet my favorite band as they were performing not so far from D.C., but sadly they were still in the city they performed the night before :(. Other than that, I actually had a beautiful walk around Georgetown including buying a cropped sweater at H&M!

I love the record players because like they are so adorable and everyone should have at least one record in their house if they feel like being artsy.

I absolutely love the elegance of the town, the white bricks and (though I have not toured the University yet) Georgetown University looked like a real life Hogwarts. I would love to live here because it is so pleasant, I am saying this out of experience but it is amazing there that I cannot wait to go back again!

New York, concrete jungles where dreams are made of

There is nothing you can’t do in New York

Yesterday I felt like Carrie Bradshaw on the streets of New York, amazed by the stores, inspired by the lights. I had went on a school like trip, it was not mandatory it was for those who wanted to go see a Broadway show. This great city is where I would love to move after high school to pursue a career in fashion, like writing for my most favorite magazine or hopefully creating clothes or putting an outfit together for someone on the red carpet.

But that is in a few more years… So here are some of the pictures I took yesterday. Sorry for my awkward face.

I was surprisingly sweating at 49 degrees, maybe because I’ve been living up north for 8 years or something.

It took me four floors and two times of going to Forever 21 to finally buy something in New York along with five other stores.

Oh yeah can I officially say that I kinda met Bethany Mota, with someone that accidentally walked into the picture, sorry.

046We had pizza at John’s Pizzeria, which was decorated for Christmas. Surprisingly we were allowed to do whatever we wanted before the show so a couple of sixteen year olds walked the the streets of New York alone, during the almost “Christmas” season. It was awesome!

051I obviously had to go into the Disney store!

060As I left the theater to go back to the bus, a leaf fell onto my scarf. It made me smile because New York has been a home to me, with every time I go there, no matter how old I am, it gives me this sort of happiness that even though I am becoming older, my childhood is still with me.
