the little girl…

“the little girl just could not sleep because her thoughts were way too deep her mind had gone out for a stroll and had fallen down a rabbit hole, THE END”

I found the quote about in my document of quotes that I found on tumblr and thought why not an Alice in Wonderland themed post! I would probably have more of Alice in Wonderland themed posts other than this… I had originally wanted to put an outfit post together and by the quote I decided lets include the picture! And also I was planning on trying to make it a Wendy inspired outfit when I met Peter Pan.

Counting Stars

Hey everyone! I recently got home from a trip to Florida and I obviously took tons of pictures! Before I share with you, I will be only updating once a week so there will be new posts hopefully every Wednesday so all my Florida posts will be scattered.

I had gone to Harry Potter at Universal and I thought stars on my shirt are relevant in some reason. Which I thought it belonged with magic!

Style Idol: Eleanor Calder

Hey everyone! I have always wanted to start a little segment on favorite outfits of real life people (celebs are real people right?). So today I will put together a post about a very fabulous British girl and her wardrobe. Eleanor Calder is a normal college student (if normal also means having a famous singer for a boyfriend) with style that most girls die for! And um an old friend (who I haven’t talked to in forever) told me I looked like Eleanor, not true though, sadly.

I could barely find any photos which were clear and did not have her and Louis Tomlinson or how to get her style, so bare with me.

Well I tried to find some, but they were not very successful. I do not own these photos.

To Dress Like Eleanor:
Having followed a lot of Eleanor Calder style blogs on tumblr, I’ve noticed that her outfits a very feminine.
Try finding items from TopShop, Zara, American Apparel, etc. Don’t pay a lot so try out Forever 21 or H&M.

Crop tops are a must have along with beanies, a slouchy sweatshirt, leggings, peter pan collar and a instead of going for a real expensive one, try a cheap Mulberry look a like bag.

Aspen

I have been meaning to do a post on my trip to Aspen, but I got so caught up in other things, like trying to add more outfits on here which will come later once I put together some outfits. So until then, on this rainy Monday I will like to share my pictures from the trip high in the mountains of Colorado.
I would not say my family is like rich or anything, having four families shoved into a condo in the a place is stuffy (by meaning four families, I meant my paternal side). But I was excited to go on a trip that is totally out of my comfort zone. I have not been on an airplane since I was 9 and I literally loathe it. Being somewhere new was exciting.
It was a long day driving from Denver to Vail to Aspen, and it was a nice to take in the breath of mountain air to finally to relax after having to be at a place at a certain time.

Went snowmobiling with my family! This is the better picture! If you are ever in Aspen go to the T Lazy 7, it is awesome feeling the rush of adrenaline and seeing the snow glisten in the sun. My whole and I even had a race, too bad I can last with my dad 😦 .

I went to a French pastry shop where I tried some macaroons, not a big fan of the pistachio and the while chocolate but the lemon was delicious!

Absolutely loved this Australian cafe, Victoria’s! If you go to my Instagram, I posted a picture of a drink that my Gram got, they can do those coffee designs, I guess!

New Years Eve was magical! Despite getting stuck in a line with obnoxious teenagers to get a cookie was horrible, it was nice watching the fireworks at night and the lights upon the tree. I wish I could come back to Aspen during the Spring or Fall as it would be magical around that time.
Yes I did ski, first time after 5 years and let’s just say, skiing is not my friend as the boots made me unwalkable for the rest of the day.
Check out my post about going to Vail!

Reconnecting with Friends

For the past couple of months, I have been feeling lonely as my old friends are hanging out without me. Ever since I have moved away in August of 2012, I knew it was going to be hard to restart again in a new place. Once I got settled down in my new life, I sent a few letters to a few friends but since I was swamped with starting high school, we got too busy to talk.

Reconnecting with friends is hard when you are miles away but it is nice to get back in touch with them. For the past few weeks, I have been thinking of ways to reconnect with them. One day I hope to return to the city for college or a job and it would be nice to know a few people before moving back or so. I am not sure if I’ll ever go back to my old city but it would be nice to know others.

It is great just have other people to talk to about what if going on in your life and it is nice to get other peoples opinion on something. I have a few people that I would like to talk again, as I fear about not having people to know when I am older. So I will hopefully try to keep up and at least put an effort into a friendship that has simply just faded away.

If you are hoping to reconnect with old friends you haven’t spoken with in a while: just sending a simple text message can help or sending a letter on how much you miss them. Or ask them how school is going. Follow/friend them on social media and maybe start up a conversation.

It is always nice to know there is someone who misses you and wants to be your friend again.
