Forever Alone Day

heart

Also known as Valentine’s Day when all the people who are in love have a snog fest and give each other gifts that are either engagement rings or pieces of gum that you found on the bottom of your bag. But for me and maybe some others are being found alone during the super romantic day. I used to hate this day, but for this year I don’t know why I’m so excited. Maybe I can ask my homeroom teacher if I could wear anything heart related other than my uniform?

Though I do wish that some guy, well any guy to proclaim their love for me on this day would be great, but that is not what I’m gonna talk about. So for those who believe are gonna grow old and live with a million cats just because for the past few years they haven’t had someone special and I found a few ways to spend this dreadful yet amazing day.

  1. You can cry about it by watching romance movies like the Notebook or my favorite, a Walk to Remember. Be like, I want a romance like that and eat your feelings away or you can cry with your best friends for a girls night for those who are also single.
  2. Singles Party! Invite all your single friends and talk about how gushy the couples are while wearing dresses with flowers in your hair and embracing the freedom of not being in a relationship.
  3. Listen to Girl Power music like Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato or Katy Perry. Maybe Taylor Swift if you want to feel bad, so  maybe not.
  4. Write, write, write on how everything is amazing without that special someone or how bad it is.
  5. Go see a movie like Warm Bodies for that really hot zombie! Just make sure to not bring a friend who gets easily scared of the badly made animations.
  6. Read a book, maybe something that involves no boys what so ever or you can cry over someone else’s romance like the Fault in Our Stars
  7. Or make Valentine’s handmade or store bought, with candy or with not (haha rhymed there). Give them to your friends, teachers, that special boy or even your cat. But you can eat it all.

Have fun this Valentine’s Day and remember its only 24 horrible hours to get through so don’t really do anything crazy unless its kissing that special boy!

Welcome to the 60’s!

Not Mine
Not Mine

Hey mama! As Hairspray music fills my head as the London 60’s style come back out into action. Sadly its been about 50 years since this era and sadly now more Beatles, but the style is coming back! Other than the 20’s and 50’s fashion, 60’s happens to be one of my favorite of all time and can’t wait until I get my hands on this!

As stated in the latest Teen Vogue, black and white, colorblocking and patterns are being worn up and down the streets which included a picture of the beautiful Cara Delevinge! Twiggy has the perfect style and I loved her photoshoot that she took long ago! Have fun rocking the 60’s even though its the 10’s!

Inspiration Board

I do not own this!
I do not own this!

Diclaimer: I do not own the picture! It was from Lauren Conrad’s Instagram and I was just too lazy to take a picture of mine!

If maybe Pinterest really isn’t your thing but you wanna keep all those pretty things together, what do you do? Start an inspiration board! Recently I have been scrolling mindlessly through Tumblr and Instagram and YouTube which is such a normal thing that I usually maybe every 5 seconds! So recently I have discovered MacBarbie07 on YouTube and I literally am OBSESSED with her! Not the creepy obsessed like I’m a stalker and… well I mean I like her fashion, videos and DIY.

I had watched her roomspiration video and I found this really cool room idea since I have recently moved this past summer and I have finally got my own room without living in a rented home so I can actually Elyseify my room! (And yes Elyseify is word, but sadly the Oxford people haven’t heard of it to put it in the dictionary). She had printed out pictures that she really liked and was going to stick them on her wall in the shape of a heart. If you want to do that, well that sounds really fun! I have also noticed that my friend Sam has an inspiration board on her notebook and maybe Lauren Conrad does too, she had it on Instagram.

If you don’t know what an Inspiration Board, its a place where you put pictures that you love and give you this happy and giddly feeling and you are inspire by it.

Since I have magazines since May 2012 and its February 2013, it was time to do a clean out. I have started what I called my “magazine” sometime last year but I never got up to date with it. So I had cut out the pictures and articles that I liked and then threw away the old magazines (even including the One Direction ones, tear).

To Elyseify my room, I have looked online and have saved pictures from Instagram and Tumblr to a folder which was originally for photoshoot ideas since for Christmas I have gotten a Canon (my new baby!) and was hoping to take very artsy pictures. I was thinking once I get ink in my printer I was going to print the pictures and stick them on my walls so my room doesn’t look like a boring white blob.

My tips to find pictures is like maybe Google, Tumblr, Pinterest, Instagram and maybe even your like pages on Facebook (or is that dead yet). Try to either put the pictures on your wall, a scrap book, a notebook, a bulletin board or even your locker and it will be very funky and cool and give you that giddly feeling!

So get creative with it!
